PROJECT OVERVIEW
For this project, I’m creating a fun, vibrant brand for Genetti Pasta Co. that speaks to Gen Z consumers. With busy schedules and tight budgets, they need easy, affordable meals that still feel special. The packaging design will be bright and playful, using bold colors and clean graphics to make cooking feel approachable and enjoyable.

COLOR PALETTE
For the color palette, I drew inspiration from bold, vibrant hues that evoke a sense of energy and warmth. The rich blue and lively orange bring a modern twist to classic Italian aesthetics, while the soft, neutral shade adds balance and keeps the design grounded. Together, these colors create a fresh, inviting look that appeals to young, busy consumers.
THE LOGO
The inspiration for the Genetti logo came from a desire to blend a rustic, handcrafted feel with a modern twist. The elegant script typeface conveys an authentic, artisanal vibe, perfect for a pasta brand, while the cavatappi noodle subtly integrated into the design adds a playful touch that reflects the brand’s Italian roots. The secondary logo variations keep things versatile, allowing the brand to be recognized across different applications without losing its distinct personality. Together, these elements create a look that’s both approachable and memorable for young consumers.
PROCESS
My focus was on selecting the perfect typeface, landing on a rustic script that keeps things simple yet elegant. I wanted to incorporate a pasta noodle into the logo, so I sketched different options and ultimately chose the playful shape of cavatappi.
MOCKUPS
For the pasta packaging, I aimed for simplicity to let the bold colors stand out without overwhelming the design. I used the secondary logo featuring just the typeface to prevent confusion; showing a different noodle shape on the box could mislead consumers if, for example, the cavatappi logo appeared on packaging for bowtie pasta.
